Proposed Modular Housing Complex in Hollywood to Face City Planning Commission
A proposal to redevelop a surface parking lot in Hollywood with mixed-income housing is scheduled to face the Los Angeles City Planning Commission at a hearing this week.
The project would rise from a narrow site at 1601-1647 N. Las Palmas Avenue, which is currently improved as a surface parking lot. Relevant Group, which is seeking entitlements for the property, proposes the construction of a seven-story building containing 202 apartments and approximately 14,200 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. The mix of one- and two-bedroom dwellings would include 69 units of restricted low-income housing, making the project eligible for streamlined permitting via SB 35.
